His body not broken for you
You learn something most days.
I was pulled up tonight by a member of the congregation for talking about “his body, broken for you”, when in fact Jesus’ body was not broken. The phrase, ‘broken for you’ in 1 Corinthians 11 comes from the King James version only. Other translations miss out the word ‘broken’. It matters because the fact that Jesus’ bones were not broken ties in with Old Testament prophecies.
I’ll have to watch my language in future.
