Matthew’s Party
I’ve posted on Matthew’s party over at Gospel Notes this week. The story’s there in Matthew 9, the gospel reading this week in the Revised Common Lectionary.
Matthew meets Jesus and picks up the call to follow. He gets his friends together to meet Jesus - not at the synagogue, not at Simon’s house, but at a party at Matthew’s place.
