Steve Addison World Changer

Written on August 12, 2005 – 4:16 pm | by Duncan |

I’ve just been talking to Steve Addison on Skype (internet phone). Which is somewhat satisfying considering that it was Steve who suggested I look into Skype in the first place.

Steve has an excellent blog, “World Changers“, featuring his research into Christian movements. Just recently he’s been posting on church planting movements, the role of Charles Simeon as a movement mentor in the 1780s, Ichak Adizes on organisational lifecycle, and Asuza Street and the Future of Pentecostalism.

I first met Steve at a Church Resource Ministries conference on church planting movements back in 2002. Steve’s work really helped me and my colleagues develop the Seeds of Hope movement, a groundswell of missional communities still in its early days in the Queensland Synod of the Uniting Church in Australia.
