Australian Cricket Summer Rivalry

The Australia vs New Zealand & South Africa summer cricket series is being promoted with a tongue-in-cheek television advertising campaign reminding Australians of their long heritage of rivalry. A presenter stands in what appears to be a museum of cricket history, using slide projection, miniature players, historical footage and a sheep to stir the age-old feelings of competition. The series is sponsored by The Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Three.

Sheep

The sheep is one of the symbols of rivalry between Australia and New Zealand. There are approximately 120 million sheep in Australia, compared to 45 million in New Zealand.
