NIB Health Funds Worth It

NIB Health Funds has launched a nationwide TV ad campaign designed to change young people’s perceptions of private health insurance. Fronting the TV advertising campaign is NIB brand ambassador Paul Harragon, presenter with the Footy Show and former rugby league player with the Newcastle Knights.

The NIB Health Funds campaign was developed at BWM, Sydney, by executive creative director Rob Belgiovane, creative director Luke Chess, copywriters Yanni Pounartzis and Damien Fitzgerald, art director Derrick Kim, agency producer Abby Hunt, board account director Richard O’Rourke and account director Julie Stars. The TV ads are designed to reach the under-40s market and the campaign is designed to be entertaining in a “modern, slightly ironic” way.

Filming was shot by Brendan Donovan via Prodigy Films, with producer Suzanne Mallos. The ads were filmed over three days in Sydney at Fox Studios, Surry Hills and Parramatta, and feature 100 extras from Paradox Management. The Marching Koalas band also appears in the commercials to add a carnival-style atmosphere.
