Sarah Dylan Breuer Blogs on Lectionary

Sarah Dylan BreuerMeet Sarah Dylan Breuer, lectionary blogger at dylan’s lectionary blog, and personal blogger at grace notes, both blogs at www.saralaughed.net. This last week I listened to Sarah sharing in an interview on God 2.0, a podcast by Open Source Radio which also featured Gordon Atkinson, Real Live Preacher, and Jeff Sharlet, religion researcher.

Sarah Dylan Breuer is a preacher, teacher, thinker and blogger based in the Episcopalian Diocese of Maryland, USA. Each week her thoughts on the lectionary readings become substantial sermon notes that are used by preachers around the world. Sarah’s comments express what I set out to do with Gospel Notes – reflections on the good news in the weekly gospel reading. Only thing is… I don’t get to preach from the lectionary too often these days.

Sarah also serves on the board of Integrity – a ‘witness of God’s inclusive love to the Episcopal Church and the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community’. She’s involved in the Emerging Women’s Leadership Initiative‘s national consultation. She’s also president of Gathering the Next Generation (the national network of Generation X [born 1961-1981] Episcopalians). (See my October 2003 summary of the book at PostKiwi’s Generational Posts). Sarah contributed six meditations to the recent book Get Up Off Your Knees: Preaching the U2 Catalog.
